DARTMOUTH – A longtime realtor and Secretary of the Nova Scotia PC Party is running in Dartmouth North in the next provincial general election
Karina Sanford was recently nominated as the Progressive Conservative candidate in the constituency.
“Dartmouth North has major challenges on housing and affordability. It’s time for an MLA in government who can get things done for people, instead of being a constant critic on the outside,” said Sanford. “When the NDP and Liberals were in government, they never built any new public housing. Only Premier Tim Houston and his PC Team can be counted on to deliver new housing that’s affordable. Dartmouth North deserves an MLA who can ensure we build up our community.”
Sanford was educated in Cole Harbour area schools and attended St. Lawrence College, where she studied business. She has also volunteered for a range of business, faith, educational and community causes, including the Salvation Army Food Bank. Sanford has been a successful realtor for nearly 20 years.
“It’s so sad that Dartmouth North is represented by an NDP MLA who does nothing but oppose our plan for new housing. Even worse, the NDP will do what they did the last time they were in government and that’s raise the Harmonized Sales Tax,” said Premier Tim Houston. “Dartmouth North deserves an MLA who will be a positive voice to make things happen as part of my team in government – that voice is Karina Sanford
Premier Tim Houston’s PC Team has delivered record investments in healthcare, housing and infrastructure. The Houston PCs are also providing tax relief, while at the same time fighting against the Liberal-NDP carbon tax.
